Nicholas R. Lange joined Keay & Costello, P.C. as an associate in August of 2015 and currently practices a variety of civil litigation. Nicholas focuses his litigation practice on litigation on behalf of condominium and homeowners associations, with a particular emphasis on covenant enforcement and litigating provisions of common interest association’s governing documents. Nicholas has extensive experience advising Boards of Directors, reviewing and litigating contracts, and drafting and interpreting declarations, by-laws, and other forms of governing documents. Other areas of law that Nicholas has experience in include appellate practice, premise liability, fraud, fiduciary duty, legal malpractice, and commercial litigation.
A native of Chicago’s Northwest suburbs, Nicholas returned to Chicago to attend law school after studying English and Philosophy at the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign, where he was an active leader of UIUC’s Pre-Law Honors Society.
At DePaul University College of Law, Nick focused his curriculum in civil litigation, legal research and writing, corporate law, and insurance. Nicholas was successful in law school: he was awarded the CALI Award of Excellence in Electronic Discovery, repeatedly made Dean’s List, and graduated Cum Laude. It was his clerkships at prominent complex litigation firms, however, that Nicholas found the most impactful in shaping his outlook and professional practice.
